How often do I need hair loss injections?

For optimal results hair growth results, multiple injections are recommended. A minimal of three sessions per year is what has been shown to be necessary for clinical improvement. However, most physicians recommend monthly injections until results are observed, then moving to less frequent maintenance treatments.

What medications should I avoid before hair loss injections?

To minimize bruising after injections, it is recommended to avoid NSADs (Advil, Aleve) for ~ 3 days prior to treatment. Avoiding alcohol the day of and day before will also help. Some patients like to take arnica a day or two before and after injections to help with any bruising.

What other treatments for hair loss exist?

Other treatments for hair loss include topical and oral medications, such as minoxidil and finasteride. It is important to note that these medications only work for specific causes of hair loss.
